SUMMARY:Mean Mary in Concert! JD Lashley open
DESCRIPTION:Welcome back to our ACMA stage…Mean Mary! Come meet and hear one of the most talented and engaging performers you will ever hear.\nMary James\, the youngest of 6 children\, learned to read music before she could read words and was an official singer/songwriter before she’d started her first day of kindergarten. With the help of her mom\, she wrote her theme song “Mean Mary from Alabam’.” The press immediately baptized her with this handle\, and she’s been Mean Mary ever since. It was clear that Mary had the appetite and talent for music and writing.\nMary was now playing guitar\, banjo and fiddle. She recorded her first album at age six\, and spent five hours a day on instrumental and vocal practice along with her live performances. At the end of the second grade\, she went into home study and also started appearing daily on the Country Boy Eddie Show\, a regional TV program out of Birmingham\, Alabama. During this time\, she also appeared regularly in Nashville\, Tennessee at the Nashville Palace\, on the Nashville Network\, the Elvis Presley Museum\, and on Printer’s Alley.\nA horrendous car accident almost ended Mary’s singing career..her right vocal cord was paralyzed. Music was her life. She was not and did not give up! The hard road to recovery began.\nToday she produces music\, produces videos (her YouTube videos have received over 15 million visits)\, tours extensively across the US and overseas\, is co-writing a novel trilogy about the music world\, and is an endorsing artist for Deering Banjos. The Deerings have named her their Goodtime Ambassador. Mary plays 11 instruments and has recorded 16 albums\, her newest being Cold. There is not room here to tell the whole life story of Mean Mary\, but if you would like to hear more of it\, come listen as she once again brings her talent to our ACMA stage!!\nmeanmary.com\nOpening the show is ACMA member\, JD Lashley\, If singer songwriter/ troubadour Todd Snider had dropped his kid brother on his head\, he’d have probably wound up a lot like JD Lashley. JD works hard and writes harder\, trying to pluck jokes and rhymes out of the grind. His style is heavily influenced by Americana and Roots music\, and he’s not afraid to sneak in a little Hip Hop… Something for everyone.\nDoor donations:\nMembers – $12\nGeneral Public – $18\nTickets are available at the door.

SUMMARY:ACMA Songwriters at the Plaza\, Karen Cohen \, Dan Philgreen\, Bruce Gallant
DESCRIPTION:Karen Cohen \, Dan Philgreen\, Bruce Gallant\nThe Lee County Library has joined with The ACMA (Americana Community Music Association)\, to offer FREE concerts of all original music by local Artists. Concerts will take place in the Amphitheater\, which is located on South Cornog Plaza. Bring a chair or a blanket\, shows will be moved to the meeting rooms located next to the amphitheater if needed depending on weather.\nThe ACMA is a Fort Myers based not for profit promoting local artists who perform original songs. What to expect\, you will hear singer-songwriters sharing a lifetime of experiences in song and the inspiration behind the songs. Be prepared to enjoy an evening of professional quality acoustic Americana music. Americana music is a coming together of blues\, roots\, folk \, bluegrass\, and country. Lots of room to spread out so bring a friend.\n\nKaren Cohen\,\nA lifelong guitar player and visual artist\, Karen is used to focusing on creative pursuits. Whatever form her creative “Flow-du-Jour” takes\, she generally excels. Whether it is singing and picking songs from the 60’s folk revival\, Jumping on a Memphis Minnie guitar lick\, or Sliding on some Old Delta Blues\, she has fans at guitar circles\, open mics and at a few from the ACMA. Over the past few years Karen has been writing her own songs. A new form of creating for her\, but as she put’s it; “It all comes from the same Source… I love get to the essence of Emotion. Whether Carved from the trunk of a Black Walnut tree\, Burned with acid into a printmaker’s plate\, or coming up with a new melody to illuminate a lyric\, emotion is the ceaseless source of my expression.”\n\nDan Philgreen\,\nAfter failed attempts at violin and piano\, Dan Philgreen picked up the guitar in the 7th grade. Like many of his age he was very influenced by the many singer-songwriters that were at the height of their popularity during the 70’s when he was in high school\, as well as the folk-rock bands of that era\, such as Crosby\, Stills\, and Nash. He has played in church for much of his life but has also always had a love for folk music which never had much of an outlet before his moving to Fort Myers. The founding of the Americana Community Music Association opened a door of opportunity to develop and share his music in a community of folks who are also passionate about this genre. Though he dabbled in song-writing earlier in his life and had a few songs to his credit\, the inspiration of the ACMA’s songwriter’s circle spurred him to write many more songs over the past few years. His playing has also developed to a higher point in the last decade and he says that\, with age\, his voice is finally starting to cooperate as well. Dan’s songs are based on his observations of life and the beauty he sees in the world. They deal with the challenges of life honestly\, but always attempt to leave the listener with hope.\n\nBruce Gallant “Music was always a part of my life.Family jamborees were a constant part of my family life. My Mom\, uncles and numerous relatives and friends\, all sang and played music .It was just part of life for me.\nI started writing songs in my late 20’s and have never stopped.Anything of importance in my life is in one of my songs. It is not a choice for me to write anymore than breathing is. I need to write to survive”.

SUMMARY:Ordinary Elephant in Concert! Barbara Chamberlain Opens
DESCRIPTION:Anything BUT ordinary\, the ACMA is excited to have the Ordinary Elephant\, Pete and Crystal Damore\, on our stage for the first time!\nInternational Folk Music Awards 2017 Artist of the Year Ordinary Elephant captivates audiences with their emotionally powerful and vulnerable songs\, letting the listener know that they are not alone in this world.\nInterestingly\, if not ironically\, in order to accomplish this new work\, Crystal and Pete had to set aside the work they’d done previously\, as a veterinary cardiologist and a computer programmer\, respectively. The two met at an open mic in College Station\, Texas\, in 2009 and soon moved to Houston together. With her on acoustic guitar/lead vocals and him on clawhammer banjo/harmony vocals\, the work of music continued on the side as both had full-time jobs\, until they threw all caution to the wind and hit the road in an RV.\nAs Crystal notes\, “The choices we make are not easy or safe but they are important. Indeed\, every of us has a heritage\, a legacy\, a story\, of which we are part\, for better and for worse. Each moment and memory a lesson leading us to who we will be.”\nOrdinary Elephant makes every word count as it rises from their chests to their tongues.\nhttps://www.ordinaryelephant.net/\nOpening the show isBarbara Chamberlain \nHer passion for playing the guitar and singing harmony at every chance she gets led her to becoming one of the founding board members of the ACMA.\nNow that she is back to her beloved Southwest Florida\, after some time in Michigan\, you might find her performing several decades of multi genre music alone or with friends\, while she works towards producing a CD. When not making music with her friends from Naples to Pine Island\, she will be saving the bees\, kayaking or fishing. \nTickets are available at the door.\nDoor donations:\nMembers – $12\nGeneral Public – $18

SUMMARY:Charlie McCoy/Reckless Saints in Concert
DESCRIPTION:This is an outdoor show that will be moved inside if necessary\n\nOur final ACMA Alliance show of the season will feature Charlie McCoy sharing the stage in the Round with The Reckless Saints. Any musician in Nashville has heard of Charlie McCoy. A mainstay in Music City since the ’60s\, Charlie has played on dozens of hit records\, including work with such legends as Elvis Presley\, Johnny Cash\, Dolly Parton\, Simon and Garfunkel\, George Jones\, Bob Dylan\, Roy Orbison and many more. The solo work of this Country Music Hall Of Fame member is contained on more than three dozen albums that Charlie has released over the past four decades.\nHow reservations work for outdoor concerts: We will be accepting the first 132 people for concert reservations. IF weather threatens the outdoor concert it will be moved to our indoor theatre for general admission seats. If there is no weather threat we will sell additional tickets at the door the day of the concert.\n\n  Public  Tickets.  $16.00.  \n\nAdvance Tickets.         www.artsinlee.org\n\n\nCharlie has performed all over America\, Japan twenty times and in over two hundred cities and towns in Europe.\nA member of the Country Music Hall Of Fame\nThere are numerous super-session musicians in Nashville\, but very few with the longevity of Charlie McCoy. In addition to being a fixture in Nashville studios for 48 years\, he also has his own recording career going full tilt. (He has recorded 35 solo albums.) He served as the music director for eightteen years for the syndicated television series\, “Hee Haw”.\n\nCharlie McCoy began working sessions in the early 60s\, one of the first being “Candy Man” by Roy Orbison. “Forty nine dollars”\, says Charlie. That’s how much I was paid for that session back in 1961. “It got Roy another hit and me a career. For a twenty year old to make $49 for three hours work back then\, it was a dream.\nShortly after the release of “Candy Man”\, Charlie became one of the in-demand session players in Nashville. His session credits are literally a who’s who of country music. For a fifteen year stretch\, he did more than 400 sessions a year. A grand total would number more than 12\,000. (and he’s still going) In the last twenty years\, he has been touring more with many appearances in Europe and Japan.\nIn addition to country sessions\, Charlie was a mainstay on Elvis Presley recordings both in Nashville and Los Angeles. When Bob Dylan recorded “Highway 61”\, “Blond On Blond”\, “John Wesley Harding”\, and “Nashville Skyline”\, Charlie was there\, playing on these land-mark recordings. He was also heard on Simon and Garfunkle’s “The Boxer” in addition to many hits from genres other than country music.\nCharlie McCoy began recording for Monument Records in the late 60s and recorded 14 albums for the label\, beginning with “The World Of Charlie McCoy”. He won the Grammy in 1972 for his album\, “The Real McCoy”. He won CMA’s “Instrumentalist Of The Year” two times and the Academy Of Country Music’s “Specialty Instrument Award” seven times. He is a member of the “International Musician’s Hall Of Fame” and the “West Virginia Music Hall Of Fame”.\n\nIn addition to making his own recordings\, Charlie was a member of a legendary recording band\, “Area Code 615”. The band featured many of the top session players in Nashville.\nWhile Charlie predominately known as a harmonica player\, his musical prowess encompasses other instruments including guitar\, bass\, mallet percussion\, (vibes\, marimba\, bells\, Etc.)\, keyboards\, and various wind instruments.\nCharlie has toured in Europe and Japan regularly since 1989 and has released albums in France\, Denmark\, Germany and the Czech Republic.\nIn addition to “Hee Haw”\, Charlie served a music director for other television shows including “The Colgate Country Showdown” and “The Arthritus Telethon”. He was in the house band for the TNN show “Music City Tonight” with Crook and Chase.\nCharlie was given the “Musician” award from the Reunion Of Professional Entertainers” in 1994\, elected to the German-American Country Music Hall Of Fame in 1998\, The Hall Of Fame of the North American Country Music Association International in 2000\, the International Musicians’ Hall Of Fame and the Old Time Country Music Hall of fame in 2007\, and the West Virginia Music Hall Of fame in 2008.\nOn Feb. 4\, 2009\, it was announced that Charlie would be inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame along with Roy Clark and Barbara Mandrell.\nIf you need a harp on your record\, Charlie is “Still Harpin’”\nCHARLIE JOINS THE GRAND OLE OPRY\nCharlie was shocked and pleased on stage at the Grand Ole Opry on June 11\, 2022\, with the question many musicians dream of hearing but only few ever do: Will you become the next member of the Grand Ole Opry?\nHe accepted without missing a beat. He was invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry at the Saturday performance\, the first time in decades that two artists received an invitation during the same Opry broadcast\, per the show.\n“I’ve had so many amazing things happen but I wanna tell you what: This is the icing on my cake\,” he said on stage as he soaked in the moment.\nwww.charliemccoy.com\n\nSharing the stage with Charlie is ACMA’s own The Reckless Saints…Roy Schneider and Kim Mayfield.\nReckless Saints founder Roy Schneider was 16 and in hiding when a friend loaned him a guitar. He had just broken out of a Straight\, Inc. facility after a horrific year-long incarceration\, where he had been denied the right to play an instrument or even listen to music. Having access to a guitar again – as well as the support of good friends – helped him survive while he waited to turn 18\, and begin his lifelong love affair with making music. Schneider went on to pursue visual arts\, learning how to design toys in 3D\, and writing and drawing syndicated comic strip “The Humble Stumble” through United Media. Ultimately\, his passion for the many flavors of music that define the Americana genre\, combined with his innate ability to play most anything with strings\, led him to give up the ‘day jobs’ for a career in music.\nHe was making a living performing in local bars when Roy met Kim Mayfield. She added keyboard\, mandolin\, rhythm guitar\, harmony vocals\, and the idea to take the music on the road. The duo spent over a decade touring and recording 5 CDs of original music.\nReckless Saints\, the CD\, has hovered in the top 50 on Roots Music Reports Americana Country chart since shortly after its release\, and was included in their ‘Best of 2019’ and ‘Best of 2020’ lists. The album features production ‘Guidance Counselor’ Gurf Morlix on the lone cover- Blaze Foley’s Election Day. Other guest artists include Freebo (Bonnie Raitt) on bass and Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie McCoy on harmonica.\nRoy\, and/or the duo\, have shared stages/bills or opened for the likes of John McEuen (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band)\, Joe Craven\, Malcolm Holcombe\, Eilen Jewell Band\, Chuck Prophet\, Brothers Comatose\, and Charlie McCoy among others. Schneider accompanied folk icon Tom Paxton on his last solo tour in Florida after which Paxton pronounced him ‘one of those horrible people who seemingly can play anything they pick up and play it beautifully.”\nwww.therecklesssaints.com

SUMMARY:The Rough and Tumble in Concert! David Hintz Opens
DESCRIPTION:f its a teeny tiny traveling folk band coming to SW Florida then that means The Rough and Tumble are in town! With delight\, we announce their return to our ACMA stage. It doesn’t get any better than this. Welcome back!\nThe Rough and Tumble:\nWriting and performing together since 2007\, Mallory Graham and Scott Tyler inevitably formed The Rough & Tumble in 2011 as the friends turned into bandmates. In 2015\, after a bad Nashville landlord left them without heat for 12 days during an ice storm\, the bandmates turning spouses decided to hit the road. They sold everything they could\, bought a 16’ camper (despite the warning of their families and the lot salesman)\, packed up their instruments\, their dog\, and a couple of small trinkets shaped like elephants and mice that they couldn’t part with\, and hit the road. They’ve been touring relentlessly since with their two 100lb rescue dogs\, Mud Puddle and Magpie Mae\, in spite of multiple burnt up axles\, busted tires\, and consistent water leaks.\nOn February 19\, 2021 The Rough & Tumble dug into the severed branch of their family tree\, bringing their newest work\, We’re Only Family If You Say So\, a full length record about what it takes to be family– and what it means to lose it. As with their previous two albums\, it was recorded in East Nashville\, TN with producer/engineer Dave Coleman. With its release\, fans are Saying So. The raw\, emotive nature intersects with the sweet\, nearly upbeat tone that touches a nerve unfortunately familiar to listeners\, particularly in the aftermath of division in both nation and families alike.\nWe’re Only Family If You Say So follows on the 2019 release Howling Back at the Wounded Dog\, a 10-song album wherein response was audible\, with audiences literally howling back at performances coast-to-coast. The opening track “The Hardest Part” won the Independent Music Award’s Best Americana Song of 2019.\nIn 2022\, the duo is tackling less defined matters of the heart– love. When the 2020 pandemic hit\, The Rough & Tumble were dependent on the loyalty of fans to keep them afloat through song commissions. The latest EP\, Love is Gross (but it looks good on you) is a compilation of the sweeter songs Graham & Tyler were asked to write\, with a couple of nearly-love songs the couple wrote for themselves. The February 11th release was welcomed levity on the heels of the harder matters of their previous release– the balance feeling not unlike their live performances. They aren’t afraid to take an audience from the lighthearted to the gut wrenching\, and they do it seamlessly\, with care for their listeners and integrity to their craft.\nwww.theroughandtumble.com\nOpening the show is ACMA singer-songwriter\, David Hintz. David has been performing and writing songs since the mid 1960’s. For reasons he will never quite understand\, he put away pen and guitar for many years until the early 21st century. So after a 25 year hiatus David was coerced into going to an open mic in Fort Myers\, FL. Scared to death and being extremely shy he performed a few of his original songs and the world hasn’t been the same since.\nHis songs are about love found and lost\, divorce\, peace\, politics\, religion\, equality and rebirth. David writes and performs straight from the heart. DESCRIPTION:The ACMA is fired up to have Abbie Gardner and Marc Douglas Berardo as our headliners. This is going to be a great show!\nMore about Abbie Gardner:\nAbbie Gardner is a fiery dobro player with an infectious smile. Whether performing solo or with Americana harmony trio Red Molly\, her acclaimed tales of love and loss\, both gritty and sweet\, are propelled by her impeccable lap style slide guitar playing. Solo performances feature the dobro as a solo instrument\, bouncing between a solid rhythmic backbone and ripping the lead lines\, all in support of her voice and songs. Her latest recording DobroSinger was released May 13\, 2022. You can hear every breath\, every chuckle\, as if you are in the room with her.\nabbiegardner.com\nMore about Marc Douglas Berardo:\nMarc Douglas Berardo’s songs are sharply drawn portraits that cast a net on unusual and beguiling characters\, mining their deep feelings and situations and describing them in his lyrics. SUMMARY:David Mayfield in Concert! Ross Jordan Opens
DESCRIPTION:ack by popular demand with his booming voice\, amazing finger picking and wordsmithing\, David Mayfield is returning to our ACMA stage!\nRead this:\nOhio-based Americana singer/songwriter David Mayfield has deep roots in the bluegrass and folk scenes. The Kent native grew up playing bass and touring with his family’s bluegrass band\, later embracing guitar and mandolin as a teenager and earning national awards for his deft flatpicking style. He has spent time performing with and producing his sister Jessica Lea Mayfield\, and in 2007 joined progressive bluegrass outfit Cadillac Sky. The group’s fiery\, aggressive sound infuriated many traditionalists\, but won them a hardcore following of younger fans and landed them gigs alongside acts like Mumford & Sons and the Avett Brothers. Around this time\, Mayfield began writing his own material and after three records with Cadillac Sky\, released his own album under the name the David Mayfield Parade. The album boasted a dark\, gritty Americana sound that incorporated elements of rock and country. He continued to write and improve his dynamic stage performances\, releasing Good Man Down in 2013 and Strangers to much acclaim in 2014.\nACMA member and singer-songwriter\, Ross Jordan will open the show. Ross has been playing and writing music for over 40 years. He currently resides in Fort Myers Florida and can be seen playing his original songs at various locations around South Florida.\nDonation\, tickets available at door\n$12 – Member\n$18 – General Public

He has performed at the prestigious Mississippi John Hurt Blues Festival\, the world famous “Ground Zero” in Clarksdale Mississippi and in the BMI sponsored Island Hopper Songwriter Festival in Fort Myers Florida.\n\nRay Cerbone\, One of the founding members of the Americana Community Music Association\, Ray began playing guitar during the late 60’s folk scene. With the support and inspiration of fellow local and touring musicians\, he began writing and playing in earnest in 2010. Traveling a long road in a short time\, his music encompasses many genres\, including Americana\, Folk\, Blues\, Ballads\, and a little bit of Country. His storyteller style takes the listener to another place in time\, his music and lyrics bringing evocative insights into the many sides of life. Ray is also a singer-songwriter’s song-singer. That is\, he does interpretive covers of great originals by other very talented singer/songwriters using his own creative touch. His inventive fingerstyle guitar is uniquely diverse and easy-on-the-ears. Ray’s recently released CD\, “How Much Time”\, has received glowing reviews stateside and overseas.\n\nRalph Leeseberg is a resident of Pickerington\, Ohio when he is not wintering in SW Florida. He’s been playing guitar since he saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan with all the girls screaming and he said “That’s what I want to do.” He’s been writing songs for fifty years and has dozens of tunes that he’s actually not embarrassed to play for people. His styles range from early folk to classic country to blues and a little bit of rock’n’roll thrown in. He enjoys what he does and hopes you enjoy it too.

Lots of room to spread out so bring a friend.\nThe Reckless Saints bring their Blue Twangled Folk and Roll to the Plaza.\nReckless Saints founder Roy Schneider was 16 and in hiding when a friend loaned him a guitar. She added keyboard\, mandolin\, rhythm guitar\, harmony vocals\, and the idea to take the music on the road. .\nReckless Saints\, the CD\, has hovered in the top 50 on Roots Music Reports Americana Country chart since shortly after its release\, and was included in their ‘Best of 2019’ list. SUMMARY:Cliff Eberhardt in Concert! Louise Mosrie Opens
DESCRIPTION:Back up on our ACMA stage again….Cliff Eberhardt and Louise Mosrie! What a show for our December series.\nMore about Cliff Eberhardt:\n“Eberhardt is better than ever\, Steve McQueening his way into your heart at about ninety-eight miles an hour\, kicking ass with fresh insight and new ways to lament old yearnings”. ~ Philly Rock Guide.\nCliff Eberhardt knew by age seven that he was going to be a singer and songwriter. Growing up in Berwyn\, Pennsylvania\, he and his brothers sang together and their parents played instruments. His dad introduced him to the guitar and he quickly taught himself to play. Fortunate enough to live close to the Main Point (one of the best folk clubs on the East Coast)\, he cut his teeth listening to the likes of James Taylor\, Joni Mitchell\, Bruce Springsteen\, Howlin’ Wolf\, Muddy Waters\, Bonnie Raitt\, and Mississippi John Hurt — receiving an early and impressive tutorial in acoustic music. At the same time\, he was also listening to great pop songwriters like Cole Porter\, the Gershwins\, and Rodgers and Hart\, which explain his penchant for great melodies and clever lyrical twists.\nNew York was an ideal musician’s boot camp. Though he put in long hours as a taxi driver\, Cliff worked steadily on his music throughout the 80’s\, doing solo gigs and studio work\, and playing guitar on the road with Richie Havens\, Melanie and others. Singing advertising jingles for products like Coke\, Miller Beer and Chevrolet (“The Heartbeat of America” campaign) allowed him to devote more time to his songwriting.\n\nIn 2011\, Cliff got a phone call from the Folger Theatre and Shakespeare Library in Washington DC. They had been listening to his song\, “That Kind of Love” along with director Aaron Posner and got the brilliant idea to hire Cliff to write original songs for the Shakespeare classic “The Taming of the Shrew”. It would be set in the old West – Deadwood style – and Cliff would be cast as the blind but wise old saloon singer bookending scenes with his poignant songs and guitar phrases. The play was a huge success and won much critical acclaim across town and 7 weeks of solid sold-out shows in the Spring of 2012. In 2013\, Cliff was nominated for a coveted Helen Hayes Award for Sound Design and he and the cast won for Best Ensemble and Best Play. Some of the songs on Shrew Songs are from Cliff’s past work and some are brand new.\n\nCliff is well-known as a songwriting teacher all over the U.S. at songwriting camps and private lessons. He also produces\, arranges and advises on other artist’s recordings. He tours constantly.\ncliffeberhardt.net\nJoining Cliff is the fabulous Louise Mosrie. Louise started writing songs about the South – what she knew and where she grew up. In 2008\, she began working on a new album eventually to be called “Home” because she’d come full circle in her “voice” as a writer. The album was a mix of bluegrass\, country and folk and as she weaved in lush stories and songs about southern life\, she was even introduced once as “…William Faulkner with a guitar”. With those songs\, she entered some song contests connected to festivals and ended up winning top awards at Kerrville Folk Festival\, Wildflower! Festival\, Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. “Home” debuted at #1 on the Folk DJ charts in January 2010 and went on to be one of the most played albums that year for that chart.\n\nIn 2012\, her 15-year marriage ended and her mother was diagnosed with brain cancer and died 6 months later. Out of those dark days came some new songs that would eventually be recorded on her newest release “Lay It Down”: 10 songs of love\, loss and surrender. On “Lay It Down”\, she collaborated with folk-rock songwriter/producer\, Cliff Eberhardt\, who envisioned that minimalist arrangements and restrained production would allow the emotional songs and Louise’s voice a stark relief to rest and shine in.\nThe new CD\, “Lay It Down”\, was released in late summer/Fall 2014…and landed on several “Best of” lists. Louise is always writing new songs…..\nlouisemosrie.com\nDoor donations: Members – $12\nGeneral Public – $18

SUMMARY:Kraig Kenning in Concert! Bruce Gallant opens
DESCRIPTION:Singer Songwriter / National Slide Guitar Champion…..\nA Kraig Kenning show is a guarantee! The ACMA is delighted to have him back on our stage.\nMore about Kraig Kenning:\nCall him Contemporary folk\, Acoustic blues\, Roots rock\, or American fingerstyle. The fact is\, Kraig has managed to merge a bit of all the above\, while maintaining a close and personal connection with his audience. Kraig has played up to 200 dates a year touring the US for the last 3 decades\, showcasing songs from his eight cds containing almost exclusively original material.\nKenning has shaped himself into one of the most capable performers on the planet. “There is an exchange at a spiritual level in a great performance. My goal is to journey with all my listeners to this magical place.”\nKenning has inspired comparisons with Eric Clapton\, Duane Allman\, Bob Dylan\, and Jackson Browne…to name a few. His finger picking often brings reminders of Kraig’s long time hero Leo Kottke. “His overall performance and presentation stand equal with any of today’s top singer/ songwriters”\, states Dave Glynn of the Fox Valley Blues Society. It’s hard to be humble when elevated to the ranks of guitar gods and modern poets\, but Kraig is quick to point out the logic behind such flattering comparisons: “Those are the guys I listened to\, whose music I locked myself in my room with growing up. If I sound like any of them\, it’s because they were my inspiration and fueled my dreams.”\nAt National Guitar’s 1st Annual Slide Competition\, Kraig took first place honors as Best Unsigned Artist. He has opened for slide guitar master Sonny Landreth; and he has shared lineups with club and folk series favorites such as John Gorka and Patti Larkin.\nkraigkenning.com\nDoor donations:\n$12/Members\n$18/General Public\nACMA member and singer/songwriter\, Bruce Gallant opens this show. In his own words Gallant states: “Writing and music are like breathing to me\, they are what I need to get me through my life.” The ACMA is fortunate to have this kind of talent in our own back yard.

SUMMARY:The Black Feathers in Concert! Chuck Williams Opens
DESCRIPTION:An ACMA concert with that WOW Factor! Welcome The Black Feathers with Chuck Williams opening!!\nMore:\nThe ability to write songs that are both modern and ancient is a rare thing. The product of an arcane art of weaving in traditional influences so thoroughly that they become the warp and weft of fresh creations.\nThe Black Feathers\, made up of Ray Hughes and Sian Chandler\, are two such talents. They first became aware of the magic between them while collaborating on several musical projects\, becoming The Black Feathers and life partners in 2012.\n“Once in a blue moon\, the whole soars far above the sum of its parts. That’s what happens when The Black Feathers perform live”\n– Black Mountain News\, North Carolina\nAmericana\, Folk\, and Acoustic Indie Rock sensibilities coexist comfortably in their musical world\, with Hughes’ guitar work buoying the kind of harmonies often only heard in family bands. Their music quickly draw the interest of listeners\, but it is the stage chemistry that will keep them riveted.\nHaving already built up a loyal following in the UK\, The Black Feathers have been spreading their wings across the US. They have performed at Philadelphia Folk Festival and AmericanaFest\, and have also been awarded official showcases at the North East Regional and Far-West Folk Alliance conferences.\ntheblackfeathers.com\n\nMassachusetts snowbird\, ACMA member\, singer/songwriter Chuck Williams opens the show! Chuck’s approach is typically relaxed\, at times sentimental and always confident. He is not a folk artist with heavy political leanings in his songwriting such as Joan Baez\, Phil Ochs or U. Utah Phillips.\nHowever\, what Chuck has mastered is how to pull at Americana heartstrings and tell rootsy stories through his simple and effective novella type lyrics. Nothing is overproduced or played with flash. Chuck has a personable singing style and it’s not done to impress but express.\nchuckwilliamsmusic.com\nDoor donations:\n$12 – Members\n$18 – Non-Members\nACMA follows the Covid guidelines of our host venue

SUMMARY:Rebecca Folsom Sorry Canceled
DESCRIPTION:Rebecca is back touring again and back on our ACMA stage!\nMeet Rebecca Folsom\nRebecca Folsom’s music is all about love and the connection to our shared humanity. Her four-octave range dances from raw and powerful to sweetly tender\, creating a deeply moving\, edgy and elevated style. Her voice aims to the heart like a gentle bull’s eye\, and cracks you open while filling you with hope. In short\, her performances will “knock-you-to-your-knees.” (KUNC radio).\nIn her songs\, she shares stories from her own life and from others’ lives\, bringing to light the vulnerability and wisdom that we all share.
