SUMMARY:John Wort Hannam Zoom. Ricky Baker opens!
DESCRIPTION:The ACMA welcomes Canadian songwriter John Wort Hannam to our virtual stage for the first time via ZOOM. We’ll have a short Q & A session after the concert with Ricky and John so you can get a chance to chat with both of them.. Reserve your seat at the link below!\n\nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/…/john-wort-hannam-zoom…\n“JOHN WORT HANNAM HAS A VOICE THAT CAN CONVEY REGRET\, SORROW\, JOY\, AND LOVE IN EQUAL MEASURE\, AND HIS SONGWRITING IS EQUAL TO THE TASK OF BRINGING OUT ALL THESE EMOTIONS…INSIGHTFUL LYRICS\, TERRIFIC MELODIES\, AND ENGAGING MUSIC.” GREAT DARK WONDER\nIn 2001\, John Wort Hannam quit his teaching job and spent 10 months depleting his savings while sat at his kitchen table\, wearing a lucky hat\, writing his first ten songs. Those songs would become his first recording Pocket Full Of Holes\, released in 2003.\nEighteen years later\, the Alberta musician has released seven full-length recordings and has a few feathers in that lucky hat. Feathers that include a JUNO nomination\, a Canadian Folk Music Award for Best Album of the Year\, A CBC Galaxie Rising Star Award\, a Kerrville Texas New Folk win\, and numerous Western Canadian Music Award and Canadian Folk Music Award nominations.\nRecent years have seen a great deal of change in John’s life – becoming a Dad\, turning 50\, a move to the big city (Lethbridge)\, a marital reckoning\, a long\, deep bout of depression\, and episodes of losing his singing voice. But John has emerged a better songwriter\, a better singer\, and a better player. On Acres Of Elbow Room\, John has further found his lyrical style and has landed squarely on his niche in the folk/roots world. He’s spent years learning the craft of songwriting and is taking those tools to write some of his most personal songs. He has\, quite literally\, found his voice.\nThese days John Wort Hannam has the same lucky hat but a new sound\, a new band\, a new confidence\, and a ton of new songs. – John is making waves in a new soundscape.\nwww.johnworthannam.com\nACMA member musician Ricky Baker will open for John! Here’s a bit about Ricky “in his own words”\nI started picking and singing back in the late 50’s in Greenwich Village. Got married\, worked\, and got back to music about fifteen years ago in Las Vegas. I’ve been playing around the Ft. Myers area for the last six years.

SUMMARY:Cliff Eberhardt Facebook Live/Louise Mosrie opens.
DESCRIPTION:Cliff and Louise would have been back on our stage on this very day however\, you know what happened. We are happy to welcome them back virtually. They will be streaming on our ACMA FB page with a virtual tip jar available on FB at \nhttps://www.facebook.com/Americana-Community-Music-Association-186132008151817/\n\nCliff Eberhardt knew by age seven that he was going to be a singer and songwriter. Growing up in Berwyn\, Pennsylvania\, he and his brothers sang together and their parents played instruments. His dad introduced him to the guitar and he quickly taught himself to play. Fortunate enough to live close to the Main Point (one of the best folk clubs on the East Coast)\, he cut his teeth listening to the likes of James Taylor\, Joni Mitchell\, Bruce Springsteen\, Howlin’ Wolf\, Muddy Waters\, Bonnie Raitt\, and Mississippi John Hurt — receiving an early and impressive tutorial in acoustic music. At the same time\, he was also listening to great pop songwriters like Cole Porter\, the Gershwins\, and Rodgers and Hart\, which explain his penchant for great melodies and clever lyrical twists.\n\n\nAt fifteen\, Cliff and his brother Geoff began touring as an acoustic duo\, playing the Eastern club circuit until Cliff turned twenty-one and moved to Carbondale\, Illinois. There he found space to develop his own voice within a vibrant and supportive music scene that included Shawn Colvin. After a couple of years there and a short stay in Colorado\, Cliff moved to New York in 1978. Because the clubs were great (the Bitter End\, the Speakeasy\, Kenny’s Castaway\, Folk City) and the company amazing (John Gorka\, Suzanne Vega\, Lucy Kaplansky\, Julie Gold\, Steve Forbert\, Christine Lavin\, and Shawn Colvin)\, New York was an ideal musician’s boot camp. Though he put in long hours as a taxi driver\, Cliff worked steadily on his music throughout the 80’s\, doing solo gigs and studio work\, and playing guitar on the road with Richie Havens\, Melanie and others. Singing advertising jingles for products like Coke\, Miller Beer and Chevrolet (“The Heartbeat of America” campaign) allowed him to devote more time to his songwriting.\n\n\nIn 1990 Cliff’s song “My Father’s Shoes\,” appeared on Windham Hill’s Legacy collection\, leading to a deal with the label. They released Cliff’s first album\, The Long Road (1990)\, a work featuring a duet with Richie Havens. The critical response to this debut was outstanding (The Philadelphia Inquirer called the album a “repeatedly astounding collection”). He followed with two more records on Windham Hill before releasing 12 Songs of Good and Evil (1997) on Red House Records\, which stemmed from a chance meeting with Red House founder Bob Feldman at John Gorka’s wedding. Cliff recorded two more albums before his critically acclaimed The High Above and the Down Below\, named the #5 album of 2007 by USA Today. Produced by Eric Peltoniemi\, it was recorded in Minneapolis with noted jazz players Gordy Johnson\, J. T. Bates and Rich Dworsky and was his first album after spending several years recovering from a car accident.\n\n\nWith a new lease on life and a fresh batch of songs\, Cliff embarked on what has turned out to be an artistic renaissance. Recorded in the Texas Hill Country\, Cliff’s 2009 album 500 Miles: The Blue Rock Sessions may be his finest to date. An intimate album of powerful originals and unique covers\, it features a reworking of his hit “The Long Road\,” a song made more poignant after nearly two decades of touring and recording. Long one of the most respected songwriters on the club scene\, his peers often mine his catalog for themselves. Cliff’s song “Memphis” was included on Cry Cry Cry\, an album of collaborative covers by the “folk supergroup” of the same name (comprised of Dar Williams\, Lucy Kaplansky and Richard Shindell). Other performers who have recorded his songs include Richie Havens\, Shawn Colvin\, Russ Taff\, David Broza/Maura O’Connell and Buffy Sainte Marie. A collection of his songs has been published in The Cliff Eberhardt Songbook (Cherry Lane Publishing).\n\n\nIn 2011\, Cliff got a phone call from the Folger Theatre and Shakespeare Library in Washington DC. They had been listening to his song\, “That Kind of Love” along with director Aaron Posner and got the brilliant idea to hire Cliff to write original songs for the Shakespeare classic “The Taming of the Shrew”. It would be set in the old West – Deadwood style – and Cliff would be cast as the blind but wise old saloon singer bookending scenes with his poignant songs and guitar phrases. The play was a huge success and won much critical acclaim across town and 7 weeks of solid sold-out shows in the Spring of 2012. In 2013\, Cliff was nominated for a coveted Helen Hayes Award for Sound Design and he and the cast won for Best Ensemble and Best Play. Some of the songs on Shrew Songs are from Cliff’s past work and some are brand new. The stripped down production enhances the immediate intimacy of Cliff’s songwriting. You don’t have to have seen the play to love this record! It’s available for sale now only through this website or at Cliff’s shows.\n\n\nIn 2018\, Cliff was hired by Aaron Posner and The Roundhouse Theater in MD to write and perform in a modern re-telling of the Sophocles play\, “Philoctetes” – called “The Heal”. “The Heal” will debut at the Getty Villa in Malibu on September 5th\, 2019. Cliff spent a whole year painstakingly composing\, arranging and recording the 9 tracks for the play. Available in his “Store” here on this site.\n\n\nCliff is well-known as a songwriting teacher all over the U.S. at songwriting camps and private lessons. He also produces\, arranges and advises on other artist’s recordings. He tours constantly.\nwww.cliffeberhardt.com\nLouse Mosrie:\nLouise Mosrie grew up in McEwen\, TN on a cattle farm – riding horses and writing poetry. She began writing songs after college while working in TV/radio in Knoxville. She moved back to the Nashville area in 2004 and began co-writing with country\, bluegrass and folk artists (Donna Ulisse\, Mike Richardson) and writers. Louise had a major creative breakthrough in 2007 when she had a fortuitous co-writing session with famed Americana producer and writer\, Ray Kennedy (Steve Earle\, Lucinda Williams). They wrote the song\, “Doubling Back”\, for a documentary film by IU professor\, Ron Osgood\, called “My Vietnam\, Your Iraq” which was broadcast on PBS stations nationwide.\nLouise started writing songs about the South – what she knew and where she grew up. In 2008\, she began working on a new album eventually to be called “Home” because she’d come full circle in her “voice” as a writer. The album was a mix of bluegrass\, country and folk and as she weaved in lush stories and songs about southern life\, she was even introduced once as “…William Faulkner with a guitar”. With those songs\, she entered some song contests connected to festivals and ended up winning top awards at Kerrville Folk Festival\, Wildflower! Festival\, Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. “Home” debuted at #1 on the Folk DJ charts in January 2010 and went on to be one of the most played albums that year for that chart.\nBuoyed by a couple thousand earnest fans\, she began touring all over the Eastern seaboard\, the South and Texas. Audience members would tell her that they enjoyed the stories between the songs as much as the songs and her strong expressive voice was described as “…like listening to Patty Griffin and Susan Tedeschi at the same time.” She’s played at The Bluebird Café in Nashville\, Club Passim in Boston\, Caffé Lena in NY and was just recently invited to play at The Birchmere in Washington DC.\nIn 2012\, her 15-year marriage ended and her mother was diagnosed with brain cancer and died 6 months later. Out of those dark days came some new songs that would eventually be recorded on her newest release “Lay It Down”: 10 songs of love\, loss and surrender. On “Lay It Down”\, she collaborated with folk-rock songwriter/producer\, Cliff Eberhardt\, who envisioned that minimalist arrangements and restrained production would allow the emotional songs and Louise’s voice a stark relief to rest and shine in.\nThe new CD\, “Lay It Down”\, was released in late summer/Fall 2014…and landed on several “Best of” lists. Louise is always writing new songs…..\n“Louise Mosrie may well be the brightest young folk-oriented artist to emerge from Nashville in many a year.” – Rich Warren\, WFMT-FM\, The Midnight Special\, Chicago\nContact: louise@louisemosrie.com\nve Wildsmith\, The Daily Times\, Maryville\, TN\n“The songwriting is really strong\, the production is great and your voice quite beautiful. The more important thing to me\, though\, is that the songs are truly convincing.” – Lauryn Shapter\, KRUU-FM\n“Excellent\, great songs and your singing is really good and soulful.” – Lloyd Maines\, Grammy award-winning producer\, musician and songwriter\n\n\nSome of the venues played:\n30A Songwriting Festival\nOpelika Songwriting Festival\nJoe Davies Song Fest\nKerrville Folk Festival\nTelluride Bluegrass Festival\nBristol Rhythm & Roots Festival\nFalcon Ridge Folk Festival\nWildflower Folk Festival\nDogwood Arts Festival\nBluebird Cafe\nUncle Calvin’s Coffeehouse\nThe Birchmere Music Hall\nClub Passim\nWFMT Folkstage Chicago\nThe Evening Muse\nThe Down Home\nDouglas Corner\nMoonlight on the Mountain\n\n\nOpener for:\nAmerica\nJoe Ely\nSteve Earle\nJonatha Brooke\nAllison Moorer\nCliff Eberhardt\nGreg Trooper\nMalcom Holcomb\nMindy Smith\nEllis Paul\nVance Gilbert\nTerri Hendrix

SUMMARY:Brian Smalley ZOOM. Elizabeth Lockhart opens!
DESCRIPTION:ACMA repeat performer and one of our favorite guitar players will be Zooming with us on Friday\, Oct. 30th You can get your space reserved via this eventbrite link with a donation of your choice. Suggested donation is $10-15 or whatever your wallet will bear.\nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/…/brian-smalley…\nHere’s the official bio:\nSmalley lives in Florida. Where is Brian from? That’s a trickier question to answer. By the time he turned 18 his family had moved all across the country more than twenty times. So\, it’s no surprise that wander-lust found its way into Brian’s soul\, as well as into his music. His acoustic novel “Chickens Pigs” based in Civil War era Florida was named Best Florida Folk CD of 2013 by the Florida Times-Union. His latest CD “KEY” is an acoustic novel set in the Florida Keys telling the fictional story of Painter Kellet & Compass Rose. Brian’s music borrows from old-time flat-pick guitar and new-grass\, but his style is hard to pigeon-hole. He sings with a soulful\, earthy voice\, and his live performances tend to be just that: Lively!\nIf you’ve seen Brian Smalley you know you want to Zoom with him. If you’ve not seen him\, check him out at www.reverbnation.com/briansmalley and then click the link to get your Zoom spot.\nACMA musician member Elizabeth Lockhart will open the show.\nHere’s the link again! SUMMARY:Michael Reno Harrell ZOOM! Ralph Leeseberg opens
DESCRIPTION:Michael Reno Harrell received a well deserved standing ovation at his ACMA appearance in June 2019!. We were so looking forward to his return. Well….Zoom is bringing him to us again! And in this time of pandemic and problems I can’t think of a more suitable artist to bring us together with his warm and funny\, happy and poignant songs and stories.\nHere’s the eventbrite link to get your ticket(s) https://www.eventbrite.com/…/one-fall-evening-wsinger…\nAll proceeds from the ticket sales go to Michael Reno Harrell. Like many musicians Michael has been mainly out of a job since COVID>. The ACMA is happy to be able to continue to support Americana musicians in this way.\nHere’s a bit more about Michael:\nMichael Reno Harrell is an award winning songwriter\, as well as a veteran storyteller and entertainer\, and he’s from the South… the Southern Appalachian Mountains to hone it a bit finer.\nOne could compare Michael’s performances to his granddaddy’s pocket knife: well warn and familiar feeling\, but razor sharp and with a point. His brand of entertainment appeals to a very diverse audience. A typical day for Michael might include a program for 4th graders in the afternoon and a concert for a mixed audience that evening.\nMichael’s recordings top the Americana Music Association charts year after year. His original songs and stories have been described as “Appalachian grit and wit” but\, as his writing shows\, Michael’s awareness is much broader than the bounds of his boyhood home or even the Southern Experience. Having toured throughout the British Isles and much of Europe\, as well as most of the US\, the songs he writes and the stories he creates reflect an insight into people’s experiences that catch the ear like an old friend’s voice.\nMichael’s natural knack for storytelling\, in print\, song and spoken word has earned him praise from not only the music community but from the literary and storytelling worlds as well\, having had the honor of being a Featured Teller at the National Storytelling Festival and to be Teller In Residence at the International Storytelling Center\, as well as performing at major music events like MerleFest and the Walnut Valley Festival. Along with his performances\, Michael often conducts workshops in songwriting and storytelling as well.\nMichael’s recordings have for years received and continue to garner awards in Country\, Americana and Folk circles. His humor and wit\, as well as the emotional depth of his work\, keep his fan base growing and staying tuned in for whatever comes next. Don’t miss the chance to experience what those faithful fans keep returning again and again to enjoy.\nwww.michaelreno.com\nOpening for Michael is ACMA’s Ralph Leeseburg:\nRalph has been making music for more than 50 years but it has only been the last 20 that he has set intentions on positive music. A little folksy\, a little rootsy\, a little bluesy\, a little bit of rock’n’roll. And something he likes to call Metaphysical Country. He really likes sharing the vibe and hopes to leave you smiling.

We’re happy to welcome him virtually on that same date!\nHere’s a bit about Dana:\nDana Cooper is a poetic songwriter\, an insightful storyteller\, and a rousing musician whose performances engage and inspire audiences around the world. Cooper’s mixture of flat-picking\, finger-picking and percussive strumming style is legend among other guitarists. An expressive singer\, his voice is ageless\, evoking a rich lifetime of experience. Fellow singer songwriter Buzz Holland says “Cooper is a person who can sing like an angel and play like the devil.”\nYou can find out more and preview his music at www.danacooper.com\nOpening for Dana on our virtual stage is ACMA member musician Mary Dahl. For over 20 years Mary Dahl performed throughout MD\, PA and DC with a quartet known as “The Lite Side”\, playing a five string banjo\, acoustic guitar\, mandolin\, dobro\, ukulele\, and charango.\nThey performed six times at the White House for two different administrations and opened for a sold out performance concert by the Kingston Trio at the Carlisle Theatre in PA.\nAfter moving to Ft Myers in 2007\, she joined ACMA and found a welcoming venue for her original songs\, all of which are upbeat and inspiring.\nMary is also our ACMA volunteer coordinator and one of the regular “front row gang” at our live concerts.

SUMMARY:David Hintz Live Stream Concert
DESCRIPTION:The ACMA welcomes member musician David Hintz to our virtual stage as we stay together while apart!\nDavid Hintz has been performing and writing songs since the mid 1960’s. For reasons he will never quite understand\, he put away pen and guitar for many years until the early 21st century. So after a 25 year hiatus David was coerced into going to an open mic in Fort Myers\, FL. Scared to death and being extremely shy he performed a few of his original songs and the world hasn’t been the same since.\nHis songs are about love found and lost\, divorce\, peace\, politics\, religion\, equality and rebirth. David writes and performs straight from the heart. Whatever the song topic the message is never sugar coated. He is always working on new material and is currently working on a new collection of original music. David is a local favorite and valued member of the Americana Community Music Association\nDavid has three CD’s\, RODE HARD AND PUT AWAY WET” 2013\, and “OUT WITH A BANG” 2015 and his most recent CD “Happy Today” has just been released. We’re looking forward to hearing some of his new tunes as well as some Classic David Hintz hits!

KUNC radio describes it as “knock-you-to-your-knees.” The Daily Camera describes her music as “shining…with lush harmonies\,” and Westword Magazine says\, “Her songs hit like little earthquakes!”\nWhile her range is impressive\, it’s the expression in her voice that rivets your attention and stays with you long after the show ends.\nRebecca’s voice pours from an inner source of honest emotion\, flowing from lilting tenderness to fully liberated\, unbridled release. Her poetic songs open your heart\, setting free a vulnerability you didn’t realize was locked away and inviting you to embrace life with all of its joy\, sorrow\, passion\, and love. She brings both a pure vocal quality reminiscent of old Appalachia and a blues prowess\,\nVirtual tip jar will available at the concert for your donations to Rebecca!\nAbout Bob Williams:\nACMA Vice president/board member/musician/member of The Pearl Street Band\, and an integral part of what makes the ACMA tick. In his own words: In the late sixties\, Bob Williams\, a young guitar player from Long Island\, NY\, began writing his own music. Pulling elements from Folk-Rock and Country-Rock\, Bob created a sound all of his own. Always eager to share amusing stories behind the lyrics\, Bob’s songs are personal. Irreverent. Funny. Sad. And most importantly\, true to his heart. With encouragement from family and friends\, he produced and released his first CD No Apologies in 2015. In 2018 he released his second Album\, Ain’t Sorry Yet.\nWhen not performing original music solo\, Bob performs regularly with The Pearl Street Band on Fort Myers Beach\, Florida.

This is sure to be an evening of wonderful music!\nJoin us here on our ACMA Facebook on Saturday Sept. 12th.\nHere’s a little about each member:\nBill Metts\nAccording to Bill “I started playing guitar when I was 19 during the country blues revival of the late 60s. I fell in love with the music of Taj Mahall\, Mississippi John Hurt\, Doc Watson and others of that ilk. Just about everything that I have done since then has been in that down home finger-picking style. I had the honor of being asked to perform at the annual Mississippi John Hurt Blues Festival in Avalon Ms. in 2011. All types of music move me I but prefer to play and sing traditional Americana roots music.”\nBruce Gallant\nBruce Gallant has been writing songs for over 30 years. His songs reflect the different times in his life\, And he considers them his journal. Bruce played in several original music bands And performed at many events. Bruce\, along with his wife Cecile have 2 CD’s “Her and ME” and “Living in Paradise”. Currently Bruce dedicates himself to Hope By Song And has written over 50 songs for HBS\nJim Visone: AKA Houseboat Jim\nJim started picking and singing back in the late 50’s in Greenwich Village. SUMMARY:Annie Wenz/Jaime Micheals ZOOM concert! 7- 8:30. PM
DESCRIPTION:We are happy to host these two musicians in a double bill ZOOM concert! Both have appeared on our ACMA stage and in local house concerts as well as being international touring musicians. In these COVID times they are coming to us from their homes in Pine Island Florida and Santa Fe NM but by the power of technology we can all be in the same “Zroom” together!\nAnnie and Jaime’s ZOOM concert is free but donations will be gratefully accepted at the concert for the Harry Chapin Food Bank. To reserve your spot e-mail aliceacma@aol.com and we will send you the ZOOM link…OR RSVP right here on Facebook!\nHere’s a bit about each of them.\nAs a multi-instrumentalist with a love for American & world roots music\, & good ol classic Rock\, Annie is known for her unique way of blending textures & funky instrumentation. She accompanies herself (and others) on guitar\, percussion instruments from all over the world\, Native American & indigenous flutes\, & piano. Her music has been compared to Joni Mitchell\, Richard Thompson\, N.Carlos Nakai & Led Zeppelin meets Melissa Etheridge!\nThere’s more at www.anniewenz.com\nAnd Jaime Michaels..\nSongwriter/guitarist/poet…Jaime’s songs are unmistakable when heard. “Michaels watches the side currents of life\, not the hurtlingly frantic noise and images…far more the missed opportunities\, the mistakes\, the wrinkles in the heart. We may be living through the 21st century\, but work like his takes us back to a Mayberry that’s a lot scruffier around the edges\, an indeterminate era when our fantasies about such things danced a little differently.”\nwww.jaimemichaels.com

SUMMARY:Karen Cohen Facebook Live Stream concert.
DESCRIPTION:Tune in to our FB page for music from ACMA member Karen Cohen! Karen would have been opening for The Divebombers on July 11th on our ACMA stage…\,sadly\, that’s not going to happen BUT Karen will bring us some tunes that she would have played on our stage.\nSo mark your calendars to tune in to our ACMA public page for some great music. \nKaren got her start playing the guitar with her sister\, a few friends\, and trying to sound out the chords from old records. She learned to fingerpick\, at USDAN\, a summer music camp on\nLong Island NY. Then\, too shy to sing and perform\, she turned to the Visual Arts as a young adult. \nIn more recent years\, Karen was able to gain confidence with the enthusiastic support of a wonderful community of musicians here in Southwest Florida. \nDuring these “Guitar Revival” years\, she was Affectionately penned “The Acoustic Queen”\nat open mics and jam circles around the Punta Gorda\, and Englewood areas. \nShe is a long time member of the Ghilcrest Guitar Army and has attended the Swannanoa Gathering in North Carolina over the past few years. \nFor more than a decade\, Karen has worked on arrangements of Mississippi Delta Blues and Slide Guitar. \nShe began by emulating Rory Block\, who is renowned for her authentic renditions of that genre. In Karen’s words…I had never heard a woman playing “old style” Blues before and it had a profound effect on me. I did not know women could play like that\, so before I heard Rory Block\, it never occurred to me to try. “ \nBut Karen loves all kinds of music and\, continues to expand her repertoire\, now adding quite a few originals originals to her list.

That dream came true with the release of “It’s All About the Love” in July 2015. \nThe record examines the universal themes of life. Music News Nashville wrote “His is a strong\, new voice on the indie album scene that’s been a long-time coming.” \nThe South Florida Sun Sentinel wrote that the album is ”an eclectic collection of universal meditations on love\, harmony and the things that threaten them\, told in a confidently unadorned lyrical style that only an experienced songwriter would attempt.” \nBidney’s second album “Rush of Hope”\, released in May 2019\, addresses universal themes through a lens of optimism. With its message of love instead of hate\, the music resonates in today’s social climate. \nA seasoned performer\, Bidney connects with his audiences through his infectious energy and emotional performances. \nHis creativity and commercial awareness merged while working in advertising agencies\, where he wrote and produced a number of national radio and TV jingles for clients and worked closely with many top musicians\, producers and songwriters throughout the U.S. and Canada. \nAn active member of the Americana Community Music Association\, Bidney lives in Southwest Florida and continues to write songs close to his heart. \nwww.robertbidney.com

SUMMARY:Jennnings and Keller..... Cancelled
DESCRIPTION:Jennings & Keller is an award-winning nationally touring duo based out of Florida. They offer up 21st Century Americana with influences in folk\, jazz\, and roots music. They fuse many different musical elements into a unique eclectic style that is refreshingly diverse. \nDana Keller\, a veteran pedal steel\, dobro\, and guitar player\, has spent years performing on stage or in the studio with such luminaries as Vince Gill\, Ricky Skaggs\, Stevie Wonder\, Larry Graham\, Marvin Gaye\, Dave Mason\, Johnny Rodriguez and The Allen Brothers\, to name a few. Dana has been an endorsee of the Gretsch Guitar and Drum Company since 1980. His dobro playing has been called “jaw-droppingly good”. Along with being lauded for his world-class musicianship\, he is known as a “songwriter’s songwriter”\, often drawing comparisons to Gene Clark and Jessie Winchester. \nLaurie Jennings Oudin is a former Shakespearean actress who has spent many years on the stage. Her theater background combined with a lifetime of professional singing gives her an obvious command of the stage as well as the songs she sings. With a vocal style that ranges from early Joni Mitchell to Emmylou Harris\, Laurie leaves audiences mesmerized by her stunning vocal delivery. \nIn the 11 years of playing together\, Jennings & Keller have released 4 CDs. They have received accolades and airplay from radio stations at one end of the country to the other. In true troubadour spirit\, Laurie and Dana travel the country in their motor home\, performing at festivals\, cafes\, wineries and house concerts. Along with developing a large and loyal fan base\, they have earned a reputation for quality musicianship and expert storytelling. \n“We’ve had perhaps a dozen home concerts now and attended a half dozen more. Laurie Jennings has a beautiful\, polished voice. She and Dana perform original folk and western numbers which are gripping and delightful. Probably the best voice we’ve had the opportunity to enjoy. Dana plays a variety of guitars with beautiful style and tone. They’re a GREAT combination and will be long\, long remembered by our audience”-M. Eisenburg\, Comstock House Concerts\, CA – Aug. 2015\nwww.jenningsandkeller.com \nACMA member Amber Crowley will open\,\nAmber Crowley \nOpposites attract like the negative and positive poles of a magnet. Amber Crowley’s professional life brings together the science of ER medicine and art of acoustic music. Life and death decisions face Amber Crowley every day in the ER. She runs codes responding to the sirens and machine alarms\, in a broken\, overburdened medical system. From this chaos emerges a soulful voice that brings soothing peace and smiles to both the listener and the performer herself. Amber is a Physician musician with Cape Cod and Naples Florida roots\, her original songs often reflect the beauty and her love of the natural environment. Her original songs are both skillfully crafted and emotional and her performances energetic and passionate. In contrast to the automated machine filled ER\, her music is filled with human spirit and emotion.\nAmber started playing guitar and singing in a high school folk group\, and has performed professionally for over 40 years with multiple CDs and EPs. Most recently she performed at Naples Botanical Gardens and Charter Club Resort. She also has shared her music for many years for Hope Hospice\, American Cancer Society and other nonprofit events. Her most requested originals are “License to Sing the Blues”\, and “Snowbird”. Several recent songs reflect her love for the environment “Save our Oceans” and “Spirit of the Mangroves”
