SUMMARY:Sally Barris in concert with Andy Getch opening!
DESCRIPTION:Sally Barris won over the music committee 100%…so here she is!\nSally Barris is an A-list Nashville songwriter who has had songs covered by such top-level artists as Kathy Mattea\, Martina McBride\, and Lee Ann Womack. Her song “Let The Wind Chase You”\, recorded by Trisha Yearwood and Keith Urban\, received a Grammy nomination for vocal collaboration in 2009.While her writing credits mightily impress\, fans and peers are most captivated by her bright spirit and expressive mountain soprano. Dirty Linen says “Barris knows how to write lyrics that are as forthright as a stream of clear water and how to support them with melodies that share that quality”. Sally also performs with dobro player and guitarist Chas Williams and mandolin player Jason Bailey as “Sally Barris & The Birmingham Boys”. The Minnesota native has performed Mountain Stage\, New Bedford Summer Fest\, Wildflower Arts & Music Festival and The Kerrville Folk Festival. Sally is currently touring with her new cd “The Road in Me”. \nOur own musician\, artist and songwriter Andy Getch will open the show.

SUMMARY:Nate Currin
DESCRIPTION:Nate Currin is an artist and a storyteller. Having traveled to over 20 countries\, toured with notable acts like Blues Traveler and Neon Trees\, been featured on MTV and received a first ballot Grammy nomination\, he retains his enigmatic drive to fly under the radar from time to time. It’s when watching him play an intimate coffeehouse gig that he’s tucked into a headlining U.S. tour that it clicks; Currin is chasing after the genuine human connection\, one fan and one song at a time. Nate Currin now prepares to release a project over five years in the making that is unlike anything he’s ever put out\, and far from most albums on the singer/songwriter\, folk and pop rock charts. On August 6th\, 2013 Currin released an 18-song concept album titled The Pilgrim\, his sophomore full length on Archaic Cannon Records. The Pilgrim breaks the rules of genre confinement for the simple sake of brilliant art.

SUMMARY:Rebecca Folsum
DESCRIPTION:Rebecca Folsom’s music is about liberation. Her songs crack open hearts\, inspire hope\, and leave listeners with a deeper perspective. Rebecca’s world-class voice traverses a near-four-octave range. KUNC radio describes it as “knock-you-to-your-knees.” The Daily Camera describes her music as “shining…with lush harmonies\,” and Westword Magazine says\, “Her songs hit like little earthquakes!” \nWhile her range is impressive\, it’s the expression in her voice that rivets your attention and stays with you long after the show ends. Rebecca’s voice pours forth from lilting tenderness to fully liberated\, unbridled release. She brings both a pure vocal quality reminiscent of old Appalachia and a blues prowess.

SUMMARY:John John Brown
DESCRIPTION:In the winter of 2013\, right after his twin boys were born\, john john brown started writing songs that would turn into his debut album the road. no depression calls it “one of those albums that suggests brown’s talents have been stirring for some time”\, while Elmore magazine dubbed brown  “one of the more promising young names in folk music today”. John John’s live acoustic performances have also been garnering much critical acclaim. in may of 2015\, he was chosen as a  Kerrville folk finalist for the legendary “new folk” competition\, and in January of 2016 he went home a winner of the prestigious south Florida folk festival songwriting contest. Seeped in good storytelling and fingerpicking melodies\, John John Brown seems to have discovered part of the mystery that surrounds the great singer/songwriter tradition.
