DESCRIPTION:ACMA member Bill Burkert spent his pandemic time writing and releasing a DOUBLE CD of his original songs. Roy Schneider of Shiny Gnu studios and Bill have put together a video CD release party that will be available for our viewing pleasure at 7 PM on April 6th on the ACMA Facebook page!\nWe hope everyone can tune in\, enjoy and comment! DESCRIPTION:Claudia was scheduled to perform at the ACMA this year after starting the booking process at least THREE years ago. Well\, she’s still singing for us\, but on youtube. Please join the ACMA for this pre-recorded ticketed youtube event for an evening of awesome music. It is a quirky and wonderful hodge-podge (her word!) of music\, poetry\, story\, laughter. drama\, and celebrating the moment. Work in clubs\, theaters\, festivals\, TV\, radio has added depth and dimension\, and since she has always included her original work along with very personal versions of the work of others\, what you get is a unique look at the world from someone who says what she sees with clarity\, humor\, and wonder. The San Francisco Bay Guardian said: Schmidt’s shows are a lot like falling in love. You never know what’s going to happen next\, chances are it’s going to be wonderful\, every moment is burned into your memory and you know you’ll never be the same again.” More succinctly\, Garrison Keiilor said “when Claudia sings a song\, it stays sung”\nwww.claudiaschmidt.com\nChuck Williams has been appearing throughout New England and in recent years has gone coast to coast with his music. He has been traveling to coffeehouses\, performing arts centers and festivals sowing seeds of his songs along the way.\nChuck has mastered is how to pull at Americana heartstrings and tell rootsy stories through his simple and effective novella type lyrics. Chuck has a personable singing style and it’s not done to impress but express.\nHis music has some of the same energies of songwriters such as David Crosby\, John Prine\, and definitely Neil Young\, while not sounding like any of them. There is something here that a lot of people are going to latch on to\, especially in these trying times. Chuck’s music does exactly what it is suppose to do…..it reaches emotions in the listener. It gives words to feelings we all share and provokes thought long after the music is over. His style is unique yet it feels familiar.

DESCRIPTION:Sally has graced the ACMA stage in person a few times in our history. We’ve always been so glad to have her back….This time Sally will be with us virtually for a Facebook Live Stream. She’s been working on and releasing a brand new CD! Looking forward to hearing wonderful music from Sally Barris!\nSally Barris is a Nashville songwriter who has had songs covered by such top-level artists as Kathy Mattea\, Martina McBride\, and Lee Ann Womack. Her song “Let The Wind Chase You\,” recorded by Trisha Yearwood and Keith Urban\, received a Grammy nomination for vocal collaboration in 2009.While her writing credits mightily impress\, fans and peers are most captivated by her bright spirit and expressive mountain soprano. Dirty Linen says “Barris knows how to write lyrics that are as forthright as a stream of clear water and how to support them with melodies that share that quality”. Sally also performs with Templeton Thompson and Sam Gay in a trio called “The High Lonesome Dreamers”. The Minnesota native has performed Mountain Stage\, New Bedford Summer Fest\, Wildflower Arts & Music Festival and The Kerrville Folk Festival. One of the silver linings of the pandemic is that the ACMA has been able to give our remote musicians a virtual opportunity to share their music with the ACMA and the general public.\nJohn sings Americana and was told by a major promo firm that he sings the “best Americana they have ever heard.” And just for fun he sings a lot of Classic Rock on Acoustic and some Country. He sings great John Denver and Elvis Tributes. He is critically acclaimed in Nashville and has many awards for Best Americana song and seven #1 hits in Americana on the radio.
