DESCRIPTION:ACMA is sponsoring this weekly event to raise money for the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Fort Myers. Each Monday will feature a different musical guest. All proceeds go directly to the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida.\nThe host for the series is ACMA member Kim Mayfield.\nThis week our featured act is Bill Veach. Bill was originally a drummer\, but the road and drums do not easily mix\, so he spent $100 of his precious beer money on a guitar that he has dragged around the world and back again. His style is as varied as his experiences\, so there are songs about travel\, people he has met and the stories they told\, and songs inspired by the isolation of the pandemic. Bill plays at cafes and charity events around Ft. Myers Beach\, often with the Pearl Street Band. Songs from his recent CDs ’Backpacking Around the World\,’ “Jimmy\,’ and ‘Fort Myers Beach’ are available at billveach.com and reverberation. DESCRIPTION:ACMA member musician Tim McGeary hails from Naples\, Florida where he has lived for the past 20 years. Tim has been writing songs and performing since the 80’s and was with the band “The Rescue” on AM records and toured with Billy Idol\, Roxy Music\, Depeche Mode\, The Cure and many more. Recently Tim got a publishing deal in Nashville as a songwriter. His songs have been featured on TV shows ( Smallville\, One Tree Hill\,Glory Days) and movies like\, Girl Got Moe (HBO)\, He has opened for opened for The Black Crows\, David Ball\, Sherrie Austin\, Confederate Railroad\, Wet Willie\, Rush Low and many more. Tim plays shows in SW Florida\, Nashville\, New York and New Jersey. Tim also has been working with young song writers with their song writing and performances\, runs a successful open mic and has been featured in The Island Hopper Songwriter Fest here in Lee County and has participated in several ACMA showcase events.

The quartet grew up in New England in the 1960’s\, and were fortunate enough to be at the epicenter of the great folk revival in the Boston-Cambridge area\, especially Harvard Square.\nFlorida singer/songwriter and friend\, Debbie Jamieson\, gave them the name ’20 Strings\,’ which happens to be the total number of strings on 2 guitars and a mandolin.\n20 Strings ply their craft all across Florida at festivals\, coffee houses\, and house concerts.
