DESCRIPTION:The ACMA is happy to be invited back to Tribby Center this year to continue our summer Acoustic Americana series\, presenting a smattering of “what is Americana?” to the Shellpoint Community and the general public. The Tribby is a state of the art performance center. Don’t miss the chance to see some of your favorite artists in this superb setting!\nHaving played guitar all his life\, Brian has developed some skill on the git-box\, and possessing a creative (and somewhat disturbed) imagination\, he is a master storyteller. Before ‘CHOSEN\,’ he’d recorded six home-grown projects. His acoustic novel “ChickensPigs” received the Best Florida Folk CD award from The Florida Times Union in 2013. And thousands have enjoyed the tale of Painter Kellet\, a homeless man in Key West\, from the acoustic novel ‘KEY.’ But now the floodgates have been loosed. Brian and friends give us some real ear-candy with ‘CHOSEN.’ Over the top production value\, musicianship to beat the band\, and a riveting storyline makes this a pleasurable and thrilling listening experience.\nwww.brianssmalley.com\nTickets $25.00\nDoors open 6:30\nShow at 7:00\nTickets available now at www.tribbyartscenter.com

His storyteller style takes the listener to another place in time\, his music and lyrics bringing evocative insights into the many sides of life. Ray is also a singer-songwriter’s song-singer. That is\, he does interpretive covers of great originals by other very talented singer/songwriters using his own creative touch. Shortly after moving to Southwest Florida\, he was asked to serve on the board of the nationally known Americana Community Music Association. He began writing songs as a result of being asked to host their weekly Songwriter Circle and for four years did so. He also volunteered for “Hope by Song Inc”\, a not-for-profit organization\, creating songs from the writings of people dealing with great emotional trauma in order to help them heal through the power inherent in music. He has performed at the prestigious Mississippi John Hurt Blues Festival\, the world famous “Ground Zero” in Clarksdale Mississippi\, at the Will McLean Festival in Brooksville Florida and in the BMI sponsored Island Hopper Songwriter Festival.\nwww.mettsmusic.com\nwww.reverbnation.com/billmetts\nRobert Bidney is a Southwest Florida-based singer-songwriter whose messages are as strong as his melodies. A seasoned performer\, who connects with his audiences through his infectious energy and emotional performances\, he has been writing songs for most of his life. Bidney has recorded three studio albums\, while an eclectic array of artists around the world have also covered his songs with meaning – songs that define him and reveal his soul.
