SUMMARY:Passerine in Concert! Fred Ball opens
DESCRIPTION:AMERI-KINDA-GRASS= Passerine. These 4 create a sound that is familiar and unique whether it be a sweet ballad\, a foot stompin bluegrass tune or a rockin original. So happy to have them back on our ACMA stage!\nFormed in 2009\, Passerine’s distinctive sound combines vocal harmonies\, the crisp rhythms of an acoustic guitar\, the haunting voices of the fiddle and dobro (resonator slide guitar)\, the resonant lows of an acoustic bass. With inventive vocal harmonies and song-writing\, supported by the sounds of acoustic strings\, this dynamic group offers a fresh take on traditional folk and bluegrass music as well as a repertoire of original songs that range from sweet ballads to the edgier side of contemporary Americana.\nPasserine is singer/songwriter/guitarist Carmela Pedicini\, David Brain on dobro\, Sara Stovall on violin and vocals\, and Doug Conroy on bass guitar and vocals. They stay busy touring around Florida. Outside of Florida has taken them as far north as Maine and Massachusetts. In 2017\, Passerine spent a month in Germany during an international European tour. Their latest album\, “Shiny Things” was released in May\, 2023.\nFind more good stuff at:\npasserinemusic.net\nActive ACMA member and singer/songwriter Fred Ball opens the show. Fred started off in Greenwich Village in the early 60’s during “The Great Folk Scare”. Played primarily folk music until the late 60’s when he started playing in a wedding band. In 2005 Fred recommitted himself to his music when he moved to Florida in 2018 and start running the open mic at George and Wendy’s Sanibel Seafood Grill until COVID shut it down. You can find Fred out and about performing local gigs at Woody’s\, Hooked\, The Perch at The Wyvern in Punta Gorda\, and The Paradise Deli.\nSongwriting has become Fred’s passion as well as photography in videoing other musicians. The ACMA is lucky to have Fred as a member. He’s always willing to volunteer and help out.\nDoor donations:\n$12/Members\n$18/General Public\nTickets are available at the door.\nThe doors open at 6:30 pm. Show time is 7:00 pm.\nCome enjoy some live\, original Americana music!

SUMMARY:Adam Ezra Group in Concert! Bruce Gallant Opens
DESCRIPTION:Make sure you come to this WOW summer concert! For the first time on our stage\, help us give a big ACMA welcome to ADAM EZRA GROUP!!\nWorking outside the confines of the traditional music industry\, Adam Ezra and his bandmates – Corinna Smith (fiddle)\, Alex Martin (drums)\, Poche Ponce (bass) – built a community of fans through sheer grit and determination\, regularly performing hundreds of shows a year for the past two decades without any major label or mainstream radio support. Fusing folk intimacy and rock energy with soul power and pop charm\, the band first emerged from Boston in the early 2000’s and quickly garnered widespread acclaim for their bold\, insightful songwriting and interactive\, euphoric performances. From hole in the wall bars and house concerts to sold-out headline shows and dates with the likes of Little Big Town\, The Wallflowers\, Gavin DeGraw\, Train\, and The Wailers\, Ezra and his bandmates treated every single gig like their last\, attracting a die-hard following that believed not just in the music\, but in their commitment to activism and social change\, as well.\nAfter their tour was cancelled at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic\, Ezra brought the show online to continue this commitment and created The Gathering Series which to-date has reached a cumulative audience of 15 million viewers. The bands ongoing daily livestreams since March of 2020 stands as a testament not only to Ezra’s artistic endurance\, but also his ability to connect with viewers and provide an accepting and supportive space for newcomers to join his tight-knit community of fans. Through his own experience with COVID\, his move across the country\, and even his wedding day\, Ezra has broadcasted without fail from wherever he found himself each night at 7pm Eastern. In addition to bringing The Gathering Series to the real world as they performed nearly 50 safe\, socially distanced shows in parks and backyards around the United States to bring light to fans through music\, the band didn’t stop there. Their homegrown festival\, The Ramble\, hosted by RallySound\, raises money and marshals resources to help homeless veterans find safe and dignified housing for the last ten years. While the band was unable to bring the festival to fans live in the year of COVID\, they instead incorporated it into The Gathering Series and hosted a 24-hour\, nonstop livestream where they raised enough money to help house 64 veterans.\nThe Adam Ezra Group hit their 500th Live stream show on July 25th\, 2021. They have also played an additional 50 backyard socially distanced shows\, and are starting to tour heavily again in traditional and outdoor venues. As if this wasn’t enough to keep them busy\, the band also embarked on an ambitious new recording series dubbed ‘The Album Project’ which will see the band releasing at least 19 new singles over the next few years. What comes next for the Adam Ezra Group? The future is anyone’s guess right now\, and the only thing the Adam Ezra Group knows for sure\, is they’ll be out there making music however and whenever they can.\nFind our more cool stuff here:\nadamezra.com\nThe perfect opener for this show….Bruce Gallant! Bruce is an ACMA member and accomplished singer/songwriter. According to Gallant\, “I started writing songs in my late 20’s and have never stopped. Anything of importance in my life is in my songs.\nWriting and music are like breathing to me\, they are what I need to get me through my life”. He is a driving force behind the success of our ACMA Singer/Songwriter Circle. Also a member of the ACMA Board of Directors. Thank you\, for all you do\, Bruce!\nDoor donations:\n$15/Members\n$20/General Public\nTickets are available at the door.\nCome see what the Adam Ezra Group is all about. You will be glad you did!\nDoors open at 6:30 pm. Showtime is 7:00 pm
