SUMMARY:Chelsea Saddler in Concert! Jane Fallon Opens
DESCRIPTION:Dubbed “The second coming of Joni Mitchell\,” Chelsea Saddler has been hailed as the queen of women songwriters – past and present (Florida Times Union). Her lyrical content arises from a deep well of life experiences as a queer woman\, adventure\, and heartache.\nOriginally from Jacksonville\, FL\, Chelsea has been performing in the southeast for the past two decades with three original albums under her belt. She has opened for national touring artists Chris Pureka\, Melissa Ferrick\, Elephant Revival\, Mount Moriah\, David Onley\, Cliff Eberhardt\, and Susan Werner. As Chelsea played a one hour set on NPR’s “Roots and Branches” in Tennessee\, she described her greatest influences as Lightning Hopkins\, Leonard Cohen\, and Madeline Adams.\nWinner of the city of St. Augustine’s and The Gamble Rogers Folk Festival Songwriting Competitions\, Chelsea also placed first in Bokeh Bar’s Comedy Competition in 2017.\nChelsea’s long-awaited full-length original solo album The Offering is available now.\nTake a listen and find out more at:\nchelseasaddler.com\nACMA member and singer/songwriter\, Jane Fallon opens the show.\nAccording to her mother\, Jane Fallon is known to have written songs in her playpen. It’s the voice\, called “angelic” and “mesmerizing” that people notice first\, and then the subtlety of the lyrics sinks in. Music reviewer Cyrus Rhodes hailed her as “powerful\, inspirational. One of the good artists in a sea of soulless clutter.” This love of language led her to a career in teaching English\, and that combined with musical genetics has kept her writing and singing her entire life.\nShe has been called the “quintessential folk storyteller performer” and many of her songs tell poignant stories that are hard to forget such as the racial massacre of Rosewood\, the tragic end of civil rights activist\, Nan Freeman\, and the complex life of Jack Kerouac. On the other hand\, her skill with words and ability with diverse genres results in songs that makes the audience smile\, like the NPR featured “If You Can Fix My Car”. She rounds it all out with an ability to charm the audience with an a cappella tune like the uplifting “A Cappella Ella.”\nShe has 8 musical CD’s and three books to her credit and has won many songwriting awards including the Woody Guthrie Songwriting Competition\, The American Songwriter Magazine Lyric Contest\, and the South Florida Folk Festival. Her songwriting has led her to the Clancy Brothers Festival in Ireland\, the Port Gamble Festival in Washington\, and places in-between. She has recently relocated from New Hampshire to Dunedin\, Florida and is delighted to be here.\nDoor donations:\n$12 – Member\n$18 – General Public\nTickets are available at the door.\nDoors open at 6:30 PM and concert starts at 7:00 PM

SUMMARY:ACMA @ Tribby Arts Center presents Reckless Saints!
DESCRIPTION:Roy Schneider and Kim Mayfield\, the core duo and songwriters of Reckless Saints\, have been partners in music and love since 2003. They began recording and touring together five years in\, and “Blue-Twangled Folk ‘n’ Roll’ was the answer Roy provided to a 2014 No Depression interview when asked “What kind of music do you play?” It’s just sort of stuck ever since. \nThey leaned in to the pseudo-genre with their latest release\, “Blue-Twangled Folk ’n’ Roll\,” available on vinyl\, CD and all major streaming platforms. Their official web site is www.RecklessSaints.com. \nReckless Saints are always thrilled when they are lucky enough to be joined by their third member\, bassist and harmony vocalist Susie Hulcher\, and they sure enough shall be! Susie has been singing and playing bass since the late 1900s and is always “happy to Recklessly join Roy and Kim as a part-time Saint.” Susie’s work can be found at www.susiehulcher.com. \nDon’t miss this act…from our point of view their music IS the epitome of Americana! \n\n\n\n\nAdvance tickets strongly advised. $30.     https://www.tribbyartscenter.com/boxoffice/
