Doug Spears & the Florida Cracker Collective brings together five longtime friends in an
Americana / folk ensemble built around Spears’ original material. A fifth-generation Florida native,
Doug has spent more than three decades performing throughout Florida and across the United
States. His songs explore the people, places, and moments that shape us, reaching across
regions and generations. Ron Litschauer brings expert lead guitar and mandolin accompaniment,
while Bari Litschauer adds distinctive banjo and tenor guitar textures. Lis Williamson brings
guitar, banjo, and finely blended harmonies, and Lon Williamson anchors the ensemble on bass.
Their musical partnership comes together on Blacktop Road, a collection of fifteen songs
produced and recorded at Gatorbone Studios in Keystone Heights, Florida. With rich harmonies,
engaging stories, and warm humor, the Collective invites audiences into an experience grounded
in deep friendship and a shared love for making music.
