It’s been a long time since Bob Sima and Shannon Plummer brought their talents to the ACMA stage. Welcome back!
“They go from pin drop to foot stomp, often in the middle of a song.”
Rams Head Annapolis , MD
Bob is an “untrained” musician who allows his music to roam free of rules. His unbridled desire is to articulate a path of awareness to the heart of humanity through his songs. He is a songwriter not intent on entertainment, yet he is entertaining. He accomplishes in a four-minute song what a skilled orator creates in an hour-long speech. The songs gently hold your hand, slowly infiltrating your old ways of thinking – like a guide that you did not invite, yet you would never ask to leave.  The songs ask nothing of you, yet you cannot avoid acting on the emotions they create within you.
Bob has won may songwriting awards and across various music communities including Folk; Kerrville Folk Fest (2 Time New Folk Finalist), Wildflower Songwriting Contest (Grand Prize Winner), Mid-Atlantic (Multiple Awards), Mainstream; Positive Music Association (5 Awards and 12 nominations), and more. His songs just reach people, plain and simple.
Bob performs with his wife Shannon Plummer. They travel extensively offering concerts, workshops, experiential retreats. They founded “Where the Light Gets In Ministries”, a 501(c)3 whose mission is to provide personal growth programs arts programs to reach underserved populations and youth.
“They had the audience from the first lyric. Everyone knew the purpose of the evening and they were happy to be going along for the ride.”
