ACMA is sponsoring this weekly event to raise money for the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Fort Myers. Each Monday will feature a different musical guest. All proceeds go directly to the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida.
The host for the series is our own Kim Mayfield.
This week our featured act is 20 Strings. The quartet grew up in New England in the 1960’s, and were fortunate enough to be at the epicenter of the great folk revival in the Boston-Cambridge area, especially Harvard Square.
Florida singer/songwriter and friend, Debbie Jamieson, gave them the name ’20 Strings,’ which happens to be the total number of strings on 2 guitars and a mandolin.
20 Strings ply their craft all across Florida at festivals, coffee houses, and house concerts. Their performances include fresh interpretations of traditional Folk, Old-time gospel, Americana, Western Swing, Bluegrass, as well as music from contemporary songwriters.
If you are able to help provide financial support, there will be a link to donate under the video. Any level contribution from couch change up helps keep our less fortunate friends and neighbors from going hungry during these tough times. Just watch this page for the red Facebook LIVE icon!
