Songwriters at Sunset   Free Acoustic Concert  4:00 pm

Singer Songwriters Hank Woji, Eileen Kozloff and Roy Schneider w/ Kim Mayfield swap songs and stories “In The Round” at the monthly “Songwriters at Sunset Concert” hosted by The Friends of Lovers Key on Thursday December from 4pm-5:30pm at the gazebo on the beach in Lovers Key State Park!

Acclaimed, Singer/Songwriter, and hit & run Terlingua, TX resident, Hank Woji is a self described Jersey Shore Ex-Pat turned West Texas Desert Rat with roots in folk, country and blues! Critics have described Hank’s music as being “in the best tradition of the Texas troubadours like Guy Clarke, Townes Van Zandt and Butch Hancock.” Hank tours nationally, performing as a solo singer songwriter; with his full band The Hank Woji Conspiracy; and with fellow songwriter Eileen Kozloff as the duo Woji & Kozloff.

A Pennsylvania native who escaped winter and now resides in Sarasota, Florida, Eileen Kozloff is a multi-instrumentalist who is best known for her unique style on autoharp and for her soaring vocals, stunning harmonies and commanding performances. “Kozloff’s approach is emotive, clear and controlled, reminiscent of the best of the revivialists, such as Joan Baez or Anne Hills,” says the Old-Time Herald. 2017 saw Eileen perform on stages from California to Denmark and to the legendary Jazz Club Birdland in New York City!

The Reckless Saints, Roy Schneider The Reckless Saints play original music self-described as “blue twangled folk & roll,”- a delightfully diverse blend, ranging from bluesy to ballads, jazzy to folk, bluegrass to rock, while still comfortably fitting under the Americana umbrella. Roy Schneider is a singer-songwriter in the grandest tradition of Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, Guy Clark, and Lyle Lovett, but his voice, songwriting skill, stagecraft, and instrumental talent are all his own.  With duo partner Kim Mayfield, they have been touring for years across America and abroad.

FOLKS (Friends of Lovers Key, Inc.) has joined with The ACMA (Americana Community Music Association), to offer free Acoustic concerts of all original music. The concerts will take place in the large gazebo located right on the beach. Seating is available for the first 80 people.  Additional seating is also available on the sand. www.friendsofloverskey.org

The ACMA is a Fort Myers based organization that promotes local artists who write and sing their own original songs.   Come hear great original music and the stories behind the songs in an intimate Songwriters Showcase.  The show will finish with a fabulous Lovers Key Sunset.  www.americanacma.org
